Borland Racing Developments will continue its chassis supply arrangement for the American open-wheel racing Exclusive Autosport outfit in 2017.
The team runs cars in American open-wheel categories including USF2000 and the Canadian-based Formula Tour 1600 Series.
Borland Racing Developments owner Michael Borland said the arrangement with Exclusive Autosport has yielded tremendous results for both parties.
“Exclusive Autosport is a professionally-run operation, which has achieved vast success in all the categories it has contested.
“We’re proud an organisation like Exclusive Autosport has chosen the Spectrum brand, and has been able to showcase our products by achieving such top-notch results on the track.
“We look forward to continuing to work with Exclusive Autosport throughout 2017.”
Exclusive Autosports recently confirmed 20-year-old Konrad Czaczyk as one of its drivers for the 2017 Formula Tour 1600.
The series is based in Quebec, Canada, and visits marquee events such as the Canadian Formula 1 Grand Prix, and Grand Prix Trois-Rivières.
Exclusive Autosport team owner Michael Duncalfe said Czaczyk will be a valuable asset to the team.
“Konrad is a welcomed edition to our F1600 program,” Duncalfe said.
“His experience in both karts, as well as cars, will help with a smooth transition to the Spectrum F1600 Honda. I have no doubt he will be challenging for wins right away with Exclusive Autosport."
“Joining Exclusive Autosport for this year's Formula Tour 1600 Championship is a huge honour,” Czaczyk said.
“I was contacted by Michael during the off-season, and was offered an opportunity to build on the incredible success that his team has found in this Canadian championship. I'm excited to get behind the wheel of these cars, and to drive on some of the most breathtaking and historic tracks in the world. I'm sure the competition will be good, and I'm looking forward to developing my skills with such an experienced team like Exclusive Autosports behind me this year.”
Exclusive Autosport took the Formula Tour F1600 championship in 2016 with American driver Trenton Estep, winning 12 of the 17 races that he contested. They also won both the Formula Tour F1600 Pro and Masters titles in 2013 and 2014.
The first round of the 2017 Formula Tour 1600 will be held on 26-28 May at Circuit Mont Tremblant.
